Jan Messlik is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Legal Counsel at Matera since October 2024. Prior to this role, Jan was Legal Counsel at DrSmile from April 2021 to October 2024 and completed a Rechtsreferendar position at Brandenburgischen Oberlandesgerichts between February 2022 and July 2024. Jan's earlier experience includes working as a Projekt Lawyer at BRL BOEGE ROHDE LUEBBEHUESEN, where responsibilities focused on Legal Tech and document automation, as well as a role in Risk & Compliance at Scout24 Group. Jan began the legal career as a Werkstudent Legal with Interessenverband Deutscher Zeitarbeitsunternehmen - iGZ e.V. Jan holds a Staatsexamen in Rechtswissenschaft and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in Deutsches und europäisches Verbraucherprivatrecht & Privatversicherungsrecht, both obtained from Freie Universität Berlin, complemented by an Abitur from Walther Rathenau Oberschule.
