Ruben Hattingh is a Senior House Officer at Mater Misericordiae University Hospital since July 2022, with prior experience as a Senior House Officer at University Hospital Kerry and as a Senior Medical Officer at George Regional Hospital. At George Regional Hospital, Ruben managed general Internal Medicine patients and medical emergencies, gaining extensive experience in the field. Previously, Ruben worked with the Western Cape Department of Health, focusing on primary healthcare and non-emergent Covid-19 management. Early career experiences include mandatory Community Service in Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine, as well as a Medical Internship at Witbank General Hospital, which involved diverse rotations across multiple specialties. Ruben holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of the Free State and a Diploma in Primary Emergency Care from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa.
