George Mitchell is an experienced teacher and coach with a diverse background in education and athletic training. Currently serving as a teacher at Mater Dei School since July 2020 and an assistant football coach at Gonzaga College High School since June 2014, George has previously worked as a special education teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools and as a child and adolescent psychiatric counselor at the Psychiatric Institute of Washington. Notably, George spent several years as a strength coach with Team Accelerate Maryland, developing programs for track athletes and fostering their self-esteem. George's extensive coaching experience includes roles at accelerate your game, where over 30 athletes achieved Division 1 scholarships, and as an assistant defensive line coach at Stevenson University during its inaugural football season. George holds a bachelor's degree in sports management with a minor in business from Towson University.
