Patrick Amory serves as the President of Matador Records, a position held since August 1994, overseeing the operations of the New York-based independent record label. Prior to this role, Patrick worked as a Domestic Buyer for Dutch East India Trading Co. from January 1987 to August 1988, where responsibilities included managing all domestic buying for an East Coast independent record distributor and acting as the in-house liaison for P&D labels Widowspeak and Blast First. Patrick's academic background includes a Ph.D. in History from the University of Cambridge, completed between 1990 and 1994, as well as undergraduate studies at Harvard University from 1983 to 1989.
