Jonit Bookheim is a co-owner of Mata Traders, an ethical fashion company established in 2011, focusing on vibrant style and fair trade practices to combat global poverty. Previously, Jonit worked at The Association for Integrated Community Development (ADIC) in community development and advocacy from 2008 to 2009, contributing to the enhancement of quality of life through community empowerment and human rights initiatives. From 2002 to 2007, Jonit served as the Supportive Housing Program Manager at Inspiration Corporation, promoting self-sufficiency for individuals affected by homelessness and poverty. Early career experience includes teaching English as a Foreign Language at HARMON HALL from 2001 to 2002, emphasizing academic excellence and community development. Jonit holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from Northwestern University and a Master of Arts in Sustainable Development from the School for International Training.
