Timur Bazhirov is the Founder and CEO of Mat3ra.com, a position held since October 2014, and has been instrumental in the establishment of Exabyte.io, a cloud-based software company founded in 2015 and headquartered in San Francisco, California. Prior to this role, Timur Bazhirov completed a PhD in Physics at the University of California, Berkeley, where significant original research on the physical properties of materials was conducted, including work on superconductivity and electronic band structure calculations. Additionally, experience includes development and deployment of parallel computing software utilizing advanced simulation engines and participating as a teaching assistant. Educational background includes a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics and Mathematics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
