Lauren Miklovic

Lauren Miklovic has extensive work experience in various librarian and education roles. Lauren began their career as a Teacher of Viola, providing private lessons to high school students. In 2009, they worked as a Student Archivist at the University of Rhode Island, followed by an internship at the Rhode Island State House Library in 2010. During their studies at Salve Regina University, they also completed an internship. In 2010, they joined the Rhode Island Office of Library and Information Services as a Data Coordinator, Program Specialist, and Librarian. Lauren'sresponsibilities included collecting public library annual reports, coordinating statistics, and working with state and national data.

Lauren then worked as a Student Copy Cataloger for Government Publications at the University of Rhode Island in the same year. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Librarian at the Willett Free Library, where they managed various tasks such as book selection, cataloging, reader's advisory, and interlibrary loan. Lauren joined Cogswell Polytechnical College in 2015 as a Librarian and Resource Center Manager. Lauren'srole involved running the day-to-day operations of the library, providing reference assistance, supervising student assistants, and planning library programs.

In 2017, they became a Reference Librarian at Chatstaff, where their responsibilities focused on assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries. Most recently, they worked at MasteryPrep as a Proofreader, Editor, and QA and QC, ensuring accuracy and quality in their materials. Throughout their career, Lauren has demonstrated their expertise in library operations, information literacy instruction, proofreading, and data coordination.

Lauren Miklovic pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Bachelor of Music (BMus) degree in Music Performance at Boston University. Lauren attended from 2003 to 2007. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Rhode Island from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained a Master of Library and Information Services (MLIS) degree, specializing in Library and Information Services.
