Liam Spence is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the payments and financial services sectors. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Franchise Innovation at Mastercard since January 2018, Liam leads a global team focused on creating future-oriented franchise models and driving product innovation. Previous roles at Mastercard include Vice President positions for Franchise Innovation and Product & Innovation in Consumer Core Products, where Liam was responsible for developing new business models and managing key global priorities. Prior to Mastercard, Liam held significant roles at Vocalink, PayPal, Tesco Bank, and TSYS, contributing to the launch of ground-breaking products and solutions in the payments industry. Liam holds a BSc in Geology from Durham University and has furthered education at the VISA Business School. Additionally, Liam serves as a Non-Executive Director at a metaverse startup, providing product consultancy and strategic advice.
