Clay Pipkin

Director of Product Management at Master & Dynamic

Clay Pipkin began their career in 2006 as an Educator at Mathieson Music School. In 2009, they became an Intern at Shen Milsom & Wilke, where they generated computer models to simulate performance spaces and wrote reports on sound privacy and speech intelligibility. In 2010, they founded Anchor Acoustics, LLC, an acoustical consulting company geared towards average home users. In 2011, they became an Associate at Cerami & Associates. From 2014 to 2017, they were an Acoustics Engineer at D'Addario & Company, Inc. and then an Acoustics Engineer III at Bose Corporation. Since 2019, they have been a Director of Product Management and Senior Product Manager at Master & Dynamic, where they develop strategies and roadmaps for luxury audio products, platforms, and technologies and works with industrial designers, engineers, and overseas partners to meet aggressive project timelines.

Clay Pipkin obtained their Highschool Diploma from Taipei American School between 1993 and 2006. Clay then attended the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in 2007, where they received a Luthier Certificate in Guitar Making. From 2007 to 2011, they attended the University of Hartford and earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus in Acoustical Engineering & Music. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Wilderness First Aid from NOLS Wilderness Medicine in September 2016, IDEO Design Kit: Human Centered Design from NovoEd in February 2016, and Pragmatic Marketing Certified from Pragmatic Marketing.
