Karl Beinkampen is a seasoned investment professional with extensive experience in venture capital and alternative investments. Currently serving as a Venture Partner and Managing Partner at MassMutual Ventures since October 2022, Karl previously held the position of Head of MassMutual Investment Alternatives Product from June 2020 to September 2022. Prior roles include President of SVB Leerink Capital and President and Chief Investment Officer of the Private Markets Group at Wilshire Associates, where Karl served from 2010 to 2018. Earlier career experiences include a Managing Director role at Morgan Stanley and positions as Associate at Scully Brothers & Foss and Analyst at Kidder Peabody. Karl holds an MBA in Finance and Operations from The Wharton School and an AB in Economics from Princeton University.
