Amy Veillette

Assistant Manager at MassHire Lowell Career Center

Amy Veillette began their career in 2003 as an Assistant Manager at the MassHire Lowell Career Center. In this role, they performed quality control on customer files, provided advice to career advisors, conducted career planning meetings, and recruited for special programs. Amy also served as a Career Advisor, assessing and managing a caseload of 85 employed and job seeking customers. In addition, they critiqued and created resumes and cover letters.

Also in 2003, Veillette began working as a Teacher's Assistant at the Merrimack Special Education Collaborative, where they redirected inappropriate behavior and integrated children into typical classrooms.

In 2001, Veillette worked as a Summer Camp Director/Site Coordinator at the YMCA. In this role, they kept records of attendance, payments, injuries, children's personal information, med dispensing, behavior problems, time sheets, activity plans and fire drills. Amy also supervised, hired and fired staff, scheduled hours, and handled all issues.

Finally, in 2001 Veillette worked as a Summer Camp Counselor at Alternative House.

Amy Veillette obtained their BA in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and their High School Diploma from Lowell High School. Amy also holds a Resume Writer certification.
