Ruth Koha James holds a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Leadership & Organizational Studies from Bay Path University. Currently serving as the Membership Coordinator at the Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition, Ruth is responsible for managing member organizations, facilitating communication, and organizing events. Ruth is also the Founder, President, and CEO of Koha Girls, Inc., where initiatives include program planning and fundraising efforts. Previous experience includes roles at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts, METCO, Inc., and the American Red Cross, focusing on volunteer recruitment, mentoring, and HIV/AIDS education. Ruth also founded Grief Care, Inc., providing support programs for individuals experiencing grief. Additional experience includes an administrative role at The United Methodist Church and operating a home-based childcare service.
