James Birge is currently serving as the President of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts since March 2016. Prior to this role, James held the position of President at Franklin Pierce University from June 2009 to January 2015, and Executive Vice President at Wheeling Jesuit University from July 2005 to October 2008. James holds a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University, an M.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling from Plymouth State University, and a B.S.Ed. in Early Childhood Education from Westfield State University.
