John Keaney currently serves as the Director of Cardiology Clinical Service at Mass General Brigham and holds the position of Victor J. Dzau Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Since August 2019, John has also functioned as the Executive Director of the Brigham Health Heart and Vascular Center and Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Additionally, John has been an Associate Editor for the New England Journal of Medicine since July 2013, specializing in cardiovascular diseases. Prior to these roles, John was the Medical Director of the Heart and Vascular Center of Excellence at UMass Memorial Medical Center and a professor at UMass Medical School, among other academic positions. John's academic credentials include an MD from the Yale School of Medicine and an AB in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Harvard University.
