Matthew Thompson is an experienced investment analyst currently working at Mason Capital Management LLC since September 2021. Previously, Matthew held analyst positions at Blackstone from May 2019 to August 2021 and at The Blackstone Group during the summer of 2018. Prior to that, Matthew gained experience as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Goldman Sachs in the summer of 2017 and as a Family Office Long/Short Investor at Privet Capital, LLC in the summer of 2016. Matthew also served as a student-athlete at the University of Michigan, where Matthew was a quarterback and won the Citrus Bowl under Coach Jim Harbaugh. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance and Accounting from the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business and has further education from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
