Marty Perreault has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations. From 2018, they served as the Senior Director of Development for the Maryland Science Center, where they developed fundraising programs and coordinated capital and endowment fundraising. Prior to this, Marty worked as the Communications Director in the Office of Communications at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, where they successfully implemented fundraising events and managed projects. Marty also held the role of Director for The Presidents' Circle at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, where they directed advisory and philanthropic groups, increased membership, and managed fundraising campaigns. Marty also served as the Director of The Science & Entertainment Exchange at the National Academy of Sciences, where they connected entertainment professionals with scientists to improve accuracy in film and TV scripts. Additionally, Marty has experience in directing programs related to sustainability, interdisciplinary research, and community initiatives at various organizations, including the National Academies Keck Futures Initiative, Orange County United Way, and American Red Cross. Overall, Marty has a strong background in development, fundraising, communications, and program management.

Marty Perreault has a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering with a concentration in Health Systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. They also obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the same institution, majoring in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Industrial Psychology. Marty has an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University. Additionally, they hold a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. In 2010, Marty achieved the Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification from the American Society of Association Executives.
