John Morton is an experienced professional in grant administration and partnership development, currently serving as a Grant Administrative and Partnership Specialist at the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission since March 2020. Previously, John held the role of Development Coordinator at the University of Maryland, where responsibilities included acting as a liaison for alumni, family, and corporate outreach, enhancing community relations, and coordinating successful fundraising efforts for need-based student aid scholarships. Additional experience includes serving as an Event Coordinator for the College of Arts and Humanities at the University of Maryland and teaching outdoor skills as Head of Pioneering at Valley Mill Camp. John holds a Bachelor's degree in Business/Corporate Communications from the University of Maryland.
