Doug Loucks has a diverse work experience in the hospitality industry. Doug started their career as the Director of Restaurants at Hockley Valley Resort in 1990. Doug then worked as the Catering Manager at The Fairmont Royal York from 1996 to 1998. Doug later joined Holiday Inn as the General Manager, where they played a key role in the expansion of a 75-room hotel. Doug then served as the General Manager at the Delta Hotel and Conference Centre, overseeing operations and serving on the boards of Destination St. John's and Tourism Newfoundland and Labrador. After that, they became the General Manager of Holiday Inn Toronto International Airport, where they managed a full-service hotel with over 400 rooms and extensive meeting space. Doug then transitioned to Mary Brown's Famous Chicken and Taters, initially as the Director of Hospitality and later as the Director of Operations for the Central Region. Currently, they are the General Manager of Holiday Inn Express. Throughout their career, Doug has consistently focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving cultural development within their teams.
Doug Loucks attended George Brown College from 1984 to 1986, where they studied Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management. There is no information regarding the degree they pursued during this time.
