Justin Sick is a Medical Physicist at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center since July 2016, where responsibilities include providing physics support for a Gamma Knife cranial radiosurgery program, conducting plan checks, performing electron dose calculations, ensuring quality assurance for intensity-modulated radiotherapy, and managing in-vivo dosimetry. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis from June 2008 to July 2013, focusing on electrophysiological experiments related to stroke and traumatic brain injury, and contributing to the development of MATLAB-based software for detecting pathological brain electrical activity. Justin Sick holds a PhD in Medical Physics from Purdue University (2013-2016), an MS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami (2008-2012), and a BS in Mathematics from Mount St. Mary's University (2004-2008).
