Francis Becknell has a diverse work experience. In 2014, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, where they conducted fluid dynamics research. They designed and constructed an apparatus to study unsteady flows through porous materials and investigated differential equation models. In 2014, they also worked as an Engineering Intern at GEM Products Inc. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Custom Performance Engineering, Inc. In 2017, they became a Laboratory Engineer (Contractor) at JENSEN HUGHES. Currently, in 2022, they hold the position of Staff Engineer - Fire Research Lab at MartinFed.
Francis Becknell completed their high school education from Centennial High School from 2007 to 2011. Francis then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, attending from 2011 to 2015.
