Javier Schmal has extensive experience in leadership roles within Martin Engineering, serving as Area Vice President for Mexico, Central America, and South America, and as Latin America Managing Director since February 1997. Responsibilities include total P&L accountability for Latin America and directing productivity improvements across all business units while developing functional leaders. Additionally, Javier has held roles as Managing Director for both ME Brazil and ME Mexico and currently serves as Vice President for Central America, South America, and Mexico, along with leading the Global Business Relationship with Vale since November 2017. Javier's educational background includes a degree in Electronic and Communications Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana, complemented by various executive and leadership programs from prestigious institutions such as Stanford University, the University of California, Berkeley, and FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas.
