Mary Karlan, LCSW, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience in mental health and social services. Since October 2015, Mary has operated a private practice, MK Psychotherapy, specializing in psychotherapy for adults, couples, families, and teens. Concurrently, Mary serves as a Mental Health Clinician in Emergency Services at Martha's Vineyard Community Services, providing on-call support for mental health emergencies. Prior experience includes serving as Program Director at Jewish Family Services of Greenwich, where responsibilities involved managing programs for seniors with persistent psychiatric disorders and supervising over 50 volunteers. Mary has also held various social work intern positions and was a Brokerage Manager at Transamerica Financial Solutions for a decade. Mary holds a Master of Social Work from Fordham University and a certification in Family Therapy from the Ackerman Institute for the Family.
