Katie Smith (Kervick) currently serves as an Actuary at Martello Re, starting in November 2023. Prior to this role, Katie held multiple leadership positions at Equitable, including Head of Actuarial Governance, Head of Assumption Governance, and Lead Manager of Model Risk Governance from March 2021 to November 2023. Katie's earlier experience includes working as an Actuarial Consultant at Oliver Wyman from September 2018 to March 2021 and serving as AVP and Associate Actuary at Phoenix Life Insurance Company from November 2011 to August 2018, focusing on various areas such as Life Product Development and Pricing, Annuity Financial Reporting, Hedging, and Experience Studies. Katie began the career with a summer internship at Phoenix Life Insurance Company in June 2011. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics from Amherst College, obtained in 2011.
