Edmund Choo has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Edmund started their career in 2009 as an Infantry Officer in the Singapore Armed Forces. After that, they worked as a PADI Divemaster at Gill Divers in 2011. In 2016, Edmund joined the Quarantine & Inspection Group of the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore, where they planned and conducted inspections to ensure food safety and animal health.
In 2019, Edmund became a Senior Veterinarian at the National Parks Board, where they were seconded. Edmund then joined the Singapore Food Agency in 2021 as an Assistant Director in the Regulatory Standards & Veterinary Office. In this role, they focused on antimicrobial resistance and formulated strategies and policies to support the organization's objectives.
In 2022, Edmund worked at Mount Pleasant Veterinary Group as a Veterinary Management Trainee and subsequently as a Field Operations Manager. Later that year, they joined Mars Veterinary Health as an Education and Outreach Lead, responsible for streamlining learning and development initiatives.
Currently, Edmund holds the position of Operations Manager at VES Hospital, the largest specialty referral and emergency hospital in Singapore. In this role, they emphasize collaboration and team empowerment to enhance patient care experiences and operational efficiency.
Edmund Choo obtained their Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine & Surgery from the University of Glasgow from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their GCE A-Levels at National Junior College in 2007 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications including Agile Foundations, Ecommerce Fundamentals, Google Analytics Certification, Salesforce Essential Training, Salesforce for Small Business, Scrum: Advanced, Scrum: The Basics, and Strategic Thinking.
