Giles Robertson

Marketing Society Fellow's Committee member at The Marketing Society

Giles Robertson has a diverse range of work experiences in the marketing and consultancy field. Giles has worked as a Mental Health First Aider at the University of Bedfordshire, where they completed their training with MHFA England. At The Marketing Society, they served as a committee member and founder of the Not-For-Profit Group, which focuses on thought leadership in the charity sector. As a Senior Lecturer at the University of Bedfordshire, they helped reinvigorate marketing and digital practices and championed the Marketing Club. Giles also worked as a Non-Executive Strategic Marketing Advisor at One Strategic Communication and founded SocialMET. Giles served as the Director of Green Banana Marketing, where they assisted charities and SMEs in growing through marketing campaigns and brand development. Giles also held the role of Fellow at The Marketing Society and served as an approved marketing consultant for Buckinghamshire Business First. Additionally, they ran their own consultancy, Giles Robertson | Marketing Consultancy for growth. Lastly, Giles served as a Trustee and Chair of the Income, Impact, and Profile Committee at the Marine Conservation Society.

Giles Robertson's education history begins in 1972 at Waterside Preparatory School, where they studied until 1981. Giles then attended Framlingham College from 1981 to 1986, completing O and A levels. In 1988, Giles enrolled at the University of Reading and earned a 2:1 BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art and History of Art, graduating in 1991. A few years later, Giles pursued further education at City, University of London from 1999 to 2001, obtaining an MA degree in Arts Management.
