Lucas Ferreira began their career as a Traffic Engineer Intern at the City of Omaha in May 2014, where they worked until August 2014. In May 2015, they interned as a Traffic Engineer at Iteris, Inc. for a period of three months. From September 2017 to August 2020, Lucas worked as a Structural Engineer at LAHITA ENGINEERING LLC. Currently, they are employed as a Software Engineer at MarketAxess, starting in September 2021.

Lucas Ferreira began their education journey in 2012 when they enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Lucas dedicated four years to their studies, completing their undergraduate degree in 2016. After gaining a solid foundation in Civil Engineering, Lucas decided to broaden their knowledge in a different field and enrolled at the Stevens Institute of Technology in 2020. At this institution, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, which they successfully completed in 2021. Through their educational experiences, Lucas has developed a strong background in both Civil Engineering and Computer Science.
