Alexis Read has a strong background in software development and data engineering. They started their career as a Software Support Analyst at Rolfe & Nolan in 2004. They then worked at Winton Capital Management as a Senior Developer from 2006 to 2014, where they focused on risk management, trading tools, and database management. Following that, they joined Liberum Capital as a Senior Developer, where they were responsible for revenue management, reporting, and various system development and support tasks. In 2016, they moved to Columbia Threadneedle Investments as a Senior Developer, working on special projects and leading a team for middle-office migration and company-wide deployment systems. They later transitioned to the role of Lead Data Science Developer at Columbia Threadneedle Investments EMEA APAC in 2018. Currently, Alexis is working as a Data Engineer at MarketAxess, starting in 2022.

Alexis Read completed a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Physics from UCL, starting in 2000 and completing in 2003. Prior to that, they obtained an MSci degree in Chemistry with Mathematics from UCL, which they pursued from 1996 to 2000.
