James Lawson is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in governance, strategy, and software development. Currently serving as the IT Governance and Audit Manager at Markerstudy Insurance since September 2023, Lawson previously held the position of Chief Technology Officer at CrowdToLive®, where responsibilities included leading technical strategy. Through various roles, including Solution Architect at Microlise and Digital Transformation Consultant at Weaverbird Consulting Limited, Lawson has demonstrated expertise in architectural design, agile methodologies, and implementing low-code solutions for startups. With a solid foundation in software development from earlier positions in prominent companies such as Oakbrook Finance and Siemens Enterprise Communications, Lawson holds two Master’s degrees in Management of Software Projects from The Open University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham.
