Matt Audette is an experienced auditor and accountant currently serving as the Lead Internal Auditor at Markel since August 2021, previously holding the position of Senior SOX Compliance Auditor. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Auditor and Auditor at Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated from June 2017 to August 2021, and as an Accountant at SunEdison from May 2015 to May 2017, where responsibilities included participating in monthly closing duties and managing financial statements. Additionally, Matt served as a Brewery Experience Team Member at Anheuser-Busch InBev, acting as a tour guide. Matt holds a Master of Science in Forensic Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Webster University, as well as an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from St. Louis Community College.
