John Long began their work experience at Iberostar Hotels and Resorts in 1997, where they held various roles including VP Sales and Marketing. John was responsible for creating and managing the sales and marketing organization for Iberostar in North America, as well as generating revenue across the United States and Canada. John played a key role in growing revenues for Iberostar properties in Mexico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. Additionally, in 1997, they conducted a feasibility study and opened the first hotels in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. In 1998, they opened the first US sales office in Miami and began expanding relationships with tour operators and travel agents. Currently, they are working as the Vice President of Sales & Business Development, USA at Marival Resorts.
John Long earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from the College of Charleston between the years 1989 and 1992.
