John F. Flanagan, MS, serves as Academic Principal and Vice Principal of Academic Affairs at Maritime Professional Training since February 2014, overseeing course delivery, faculty management, and compliance with quality systems. Flanagan instructs various USCG approved courses while also contributing to curriculum development and recruitment. Prior experience includes serving as Third Mate on the T/S EMPIRE STATE from June 2012 to January 2014, responsible for safety and lifesaving equipment maintenance and training. Flanagan holds a Master's degree in International Transportation Management and a Bachelor's degree in Marine Transportation, both from the State University of New York Maritime College.
