Bridget Thompson is an experienced project manager currently working at Maritime New Zealand since January 2023. Prior to this role, Bridget served as the Head of Transition at the Abuse in Care Inquiry New Zealand from May 2022 to January 2023. Bridget's career at the New Zealand Electoral Commission spanned from March 2020 to May 2022, where roles included Advisor - People & Culture, Team Leader Voting Services, and Electorate Manager for Wellington Central. Notably, Bridget had overall responsibility for the successful execution of the 2020 General Elections within that electorate. Earlier positions include Volunteer and Programme Manager at Dress for Success Wellington, HR & Admin Manager at Playcentre Aotearoa, and various roles at Wellington Playcentre Association focusing on HR practices and professional development. Bridget also contributed as a Trainer for the Wellington Central Voting Staff during the 2017 General Election.
