Torstein Steffenssen Tjelle has worked as a Group Controller at Maritech since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at KPMG as a Senior Revisor from August 2015 to August 2022. Torstein Steffenssen also worked as an Administrasjons og økonomirådgiver at Økologisk Norge / Organic Norway from an unspecified start date to 2014.

Torstein Steffenssen Tjelle began their education journey in 2008 at BI Norwegian Business School, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Varehandelsledelse. Torstein Steffenssen completed their degree in 2011. Later, in 2013, they joined Molde University College and achieved another Bachelor's degree, this time in Regnskap og revisjon, which they completed in 2015. Tjelle then proceeded to pursue a Master's degree in Regnskap og Revisjon at BI Norwegian Business School, where they studied from 2017 to 2019. In 2018, they engaged in an exchange program at Peking University HSBC Business School, focusing on Accounting and auditing.
