Syed Shahzad is an experienced marine surveyor currently serving as a Port Captain at Maritech Commercial Inc. since February 2012. Responsibilities include liaising between ship's masters and loading terminals across Texas, the Gulf Coast, and the Caribbean, as well as conducting tanker vetting and safety inspections. Prior to this role, Syed held positions at Sabine Surveyors Ltd. as Assistant Manager and subsequently Manager, conducting marine surveys on tank ships, cargo ships, and marine terminals. Syed's extensive maritime experience began as a Captain at Wallem Ship Management Inc., where command and navigation of commercial vessels were key responsibilities. Educational credentials include an M.Sc. in International Maritime Transportation from the State University of New York and various maritime qualifications from institutions such as Liverpool John Moores University and Pakistan Marine Academy.
