Mafalda J. Santos has work experience with three different companies. In 2018, they worked as a Kitchen Assistant at Cooking.Lab for a short period of time. In 2017, they worked as a Freelance Transcriber at Sigma Technologies Global for one year. Currently, they are employed at Marionete, where they started in 2019. At Marionete, they initially worked as a Core Technology Professional from May 2019 to June 2021, and then transitioned to the role of Core Technology Specialist in July 2021.

Mafalda J. Santos has a diverse education history. Mafalda completed a short-term program as a Code Cadet at Academia de Código in 2019. Prior to that, they attended the NOVA School of Science and Technology, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Gastronomical Sciences from 2013 to 2016. Santos also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the same institution, which they obtained from 2009 to 2012. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including being a Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka from Confluent in October 2019. Mafalda has also completed courses in Food Cost Control, Food Safety & Hygiene, HACCP System, and Implementation and Evaluation of the HACCP System, all from CFPSA - Centro de Formação Profissional para o Sector Alimentar.
