Brandon Chen began their work experience as an Engineering Intern at One Kings Lane in 2011. During this time, they created Engineering Tech pages and coded several prototypes using HTML, CSS, jQuery, and PHP. Brandon also researched and evaluated intranet solutions and successfully launched one within the company. In 2012, they continued their internship at Marin Software, where they built an Engineering Dashboard using Django, HTML templating, jQuery, CSS, and various APIs. This dashboard collected and displayed data, product updates, metrics, dates, and other important information for the engineering team. Brandon then joined Marin Software as a Software Developer in 2013.

Brandon Chen completed their high school education at Troy High School from 2005 to 2009, earning a High School Diploma. Brandon then pursued further education at the University of California, Berkeley from 2009 to 2013. During their time there, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Economics.
