Mr Chandrashekar has over three decades' experience in the co-operative, not-for-profit and private sector. In the reproductive health sector, he has managed and scaled-up technical assistance, behaviour change communication, social franchise and social marketing programs.
In 2013, he joined MSI Reproductive Choices as Country Director for the second programme in India, Foundation for Reproductive Health Services India, before moving over to lead the programme in Tanzania from February 2021. Prior to this he held senior management positions at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation, Population and Reproductive Health Program, Population Services International, Ipas and Johns Hopkins University, Center for Communication Programs.
Before joining the reproductive health sector, Mr Chandrashekar was also involved in the dairy co-operative movement in the state of Madhya Pradesh. He holds a post-graduate diploma in Rural Management from the Institute of Rural Management Anand (Gujarat, India), as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Mysore.
