Allen Price

Chief Culture and Talent Officer at MARi

Allen Price has had a diverse range of work experience, starting in 1999 as a Human Resources Representative at OAO Technology Solutions, Inc. Allen quickly advanced within the company, taking on roles such as Manager of Human Resource Operations and Director of Human Resources, where they implemented talent recruitment and retention strategies.

In 2010, Price joined Carney, where they held various leadership positions, including Director of Human Resources and Operations and Chief Human Resources Officer. During their time at Carney, they led multiple teams and programs, including Human Resources, IT, Contracts, Facilities, and Legal, and was responsible for establishing a high-performance culture.

In 2012, Price became the Executive Director of JAMTECH, Inc., a non-profit organization that focused on bringing STEM opportunities to students in the DC Metro area. Allen successfully increased student attendance and volunteer involvement through the creation of the Premier Build a Game in a Day Event.

In 2013, Price took on the role of Chief Culture and Talent Officer at MARi. Allen then joined the City of Alexandria, Virginia in 2015, serving as a Commissioner on the Alexandria Virginia Commission on Employment, where they developed programs to improve workforce planning and increase employment opportunities.

Most recently, Price has returned to Carney as the President, a position they started in August 2021. In this role, they continue to utilize their experience in business development and professional services to lead the company towards its desired results.

Allen Price has a diverse education history. From 1996 to 2002, they attended North Carolina State University and studied Business Management. In 2008, they enrolled at the University of Maryland Global Campus, where they pursued a degree in Human Resources Management. Allen completed their studies in 2016, earning a degree in Human Resources Management.

In addition to their formal education, Allen has obtained several certifications. In 2010, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. In 2015, they acquired the Human Capital Strategist (HCS) certification from the Human Capital Institute (HCI) and the SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM. Allen has also participated in various professional development programs, including Effective Communications & Human Relations/Skills For Success from Dale Carnegie, and several facilitator programs from FranklinCovey, such as FranklinCovey Facilitator (5 Choices), FranklinCovey Facilitator (7 Habits for Highly Effective Managers), FranklinCovey Facilitator (FOCUS: Achieving Your Highest Priorities), and FranklinCovey Facilitator (Speed of Trust).
