Roya Servattalab has worked at various research laboratories since 2011. Roya began their career as a Research Assistant at the Neuroendocrine Research Laboratory at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Plant Biology Research Laboratory at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and at the Opthalmology Research Laboratory at UMass Medical School. In 2016, they worked as a Structural Biologist (Contract) at Array BioPharma Inc., where they had responsibilities such as expression, purification, characterization, and crystallization of various recombinant proteins, as well as transformation of competent E. coli cells with plasmid DNA and E. coli cell culture. In 2017, they worked as a Research Scientist (Contract) at MilliporeSigma and as a Research Associate I, Protein Biochemistry at Acceleron Pharma. Since 2018, they have been working at Marengo Therapeutics, where they have held the roles of Scientist II, Scientist I, Associate Scientist, and Senior Research Associate.

Roya Servattalab obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2014. Roya then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Biotechnology- Biopharmaceutical Analytical Sciences at Northeastern University, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
