Lydia Cumiskey, PhD, is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in the Climate Adaptation and Impacts team at MaREI, Ireland’s leading research center on Energy, Climate, and Marine, where engagement in the EU Horizon project DIRECTED focuses on enhancing disaster resilience through interoperable data and governance. Prior experience includes serving as a Partnerships and Community Engagement Advisor at the German Red Cross, leading initiatives at the Anticipation Hub, and holding the position of Early Stage Researcher at Middlesex University, completing a PhD on flood risk management. Lydia has collaborated with Deltares on international flood and disaster risk projects and has an educational background that includes a PhD from Middlesex University, an MS from IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, and a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from University College Dublin.
