Thyra Brody has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2011 as a Teaching Assistant at Chapman University. In 2012, they worked as a Reservations and Marketing Intern at Discover Hawaii Tours. From 2013 to 2014, they held various roles, including Program Assistant at Cross-Cultural Engagement at Chapman University, Family Advocacy at Friendly Center, and Cultural Inclusion Intern at "I Have a Dream" Oregon. In 2015, they volunteered at Consorzio Arché and SAY-DP, where they drafted and edited a grant proposal, compiled video footage, managed a Facebook page, and posted relevant information. Thyra also volunteered as a Pre-school Teacher at Kateri Park Pre-school with Catholic Charities in 2016. From 2017 to present, they have been employed at Marco Polo in various roles, including Community & Partnerships, Marco Polo Channels Customer Success, and Marco Polo Customer Support & Social Media. In their current role, they are responsible for responding to emails and reviews, providing email support, collaborating with product development, managing and tagging inquiries, resolving customer-reported bugs, developing brand awareness, designing social media content, and connecting with users.
Thyra Brody obtained a High School diploma from Kurt Tucholsky Schule in Germany in 2004, followed by a High School diploma from Colegio Aleman Quito in 2007. In 2010, they earned a BA in Sociology, with a Minor in Peace Studies, from Chapman University. In 2012, they completed a Bachelor's Degree from the School for International Training, with a focus on Sociology and a Study Abroad in Cameroon for Social Pluralism and Development. Thyra then earned a Master's Degree in International Development and Service from Chiang Mai University, followed by a Master's Degree from Siena Itaian Studies (SIS) in the same field. In 2014, they earned a Master's Degree in International Development and Service from Concordia University-Portland. Additionally, Thyra Brody holds a Certificate of Completion of Mediation and Conflict Resolution Training from Chapman University.
