Ben Stein is a dynamic professional in the climate tech and materials science sectors, currently serving as Founder in Residence at Marble since November 2023. Previously, Ben founded BioDiamond, focusing on innovative technologies that enhance the sustainability of biomass and battery manufacturing. Stein's experience includes a research internship at Sandia National Laboratories, where carbon coatings for molten salt battery membranes were explored. A research assistant at The University of Texas at Dallas, Ben contributed to diverse projects, including nanomaterial-based batteries and prototyping a novel cooling system. Stein's academic credentials include a PhD in Bioengineering from The University of Texas at Dallas, a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a Bachelor's in Materials Science and Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
