Michele Thelen is an experienced educator with a strong background in gifted and talented education. Currently serving as the Executive Secretary for the Arizona Association for Gifted and Talented since February 2024, Michele has an extensive career with the Marana Unified School District, holding various positions including Coordinator of Gifted and Talented Education, Gifted Resource Teacher, and Teacher since 1994. Michele holds a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Arizona, earned between 2010 and 2012, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the same institution, obtained from 1979 to 1984. Additionally, Michele completed education at Salpointe Catholic High School from September 1977 to May 1979.
