Carl Byrd has over 17 years of experience in the technology industry. Carl began their career in 2005 as a Technical Support Trainer at CGS (Computer Generated Solutions), where they provided training, documentation, and troubleshooting skills to new support representatives. In 2009, they moved to Audible, Inc. as a Technical Lead, managing all tracking and reporting of multiple agent KPIs, creating business and training plans for continuously improving quality and efficiency. In 2012, they transitioned to LabTech Software (ConnectWise) as an Automation Lead, performing many roles including Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Business Analyst, as well as leading a team of automation engineers for a SaaS Remote PC Management platform. In 2016, Carl moved to Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Inc. as a Sr. QA Engineer, with Scrum Master and Product Owner duties in addition to testing on a cross-functional Scrum team. Carl is currently a Scrum Master at Mapware, where they have introduced tools and processes to more seamlessly integrate the use of Agile software development practices, and driven enhancements to product design to improve user experience while maintaining alignment with project strategy and business objectives.

Carl Byrd attended Bergen County Technical School, where they studied Business Information Technology Systems. Carl has obtained several certifications, including a Certified SAFe 5 Program Consultant from Scaled Agile, Inc. in June 2022, a Certified Scrum Professional - Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in August 2021, an Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance in July 2021, a Certified Tester Foundation Level from ASTQB - ISTQB in the U.S. - Official Page in April 2019, a Splunk Certified User from Splunk - NYC in July 2017, and a Ranorex Certified Professional from Ranorex in January 2015.
