Sebastian R. has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2004 as a Systemadministrator at Freund+Dirks GmbH. In 2005 they moved on to Continental AG as a Softwareentwickler, and then to Vitras GmbH in 2009 in the same role. In 2011, they joined Senacor Technologies as a Developer, and was promoted to Senior Developer in the same year. In 2017, they began working for codecentric AG as a Senior IT Consultant and Lead IT Consultant. Sebastian also became an Apache Member at The Apache Software Foundation in 2017. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Mapped as a Senior Software Engineer.

Sebastian R. began their educational journey in 2002 at Staatliche Technikerschule Weilburg, where they earned a degree in Medien und Informationstechnik. Sebastian then attended Fachhochschule Giessen-Friedberg, where they received a Dipl. Ing. Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen in 2005 and a Bsc. Informatik in 2007. Following this, they attended Dundalk Institute of Technology, where they earned a Bsc. H. Commercial Computing in 2008. Sebastian concluded their education at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, where they earned an Msc. Informatik in 2011.
