Evan Despault's work experience begins in 2003, when they worked as a Bilingual Test Analyst at CIBC. From 2004 to 2006, they worked as a Quality Assurance Developer at Open Text. In 2006, they worked as a Web Application Developer at the Toronto Centre for Phenogenomics. Afterwards, from 2006 to 2011, Evan served as a Program Manager at Microsoft. In 2013, they joined Pinnguaq as a Principal Engineer. Most recently, in 2018, Evan became a Co-Founder and Principal Engineer at Many Hats and 56k Games.

Evan Despault attended the University of Waterloo from 2002 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
