Lissy Rand

Executive Director, Workforce Partnerships at MAGNET

Lissy Rand has extensive experience in various roles and organizations. Lissy is currently the Executive Director of Workforce Partnerships at MAGNET: The Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network. Prior to this, they worked for Deaconess Foundation, where they served as Vice President of Grantmaking & Strategy, leading all activities related to foundation strategy and grantmaking. Lissy worked closely with the Board of Directors, nonprofit organizations, funding partners, and others to build systems and programs to assist those in need with building sustainable careers. Lissy also held the role of Program Officer at Deaconess Foundation before being promoted to Vice President.

Before joining Deaconess Foundation, Lissy worked at Foundation Management Services for ten years as a Program Officer. In this role, they were responsible for managing relationships with grantees and applicants, reviewing proposals, and representing various foundations in community collaborations.

Lissy's career started at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they worked as a Health Sciences Institutional Review Board Staff Reviewer. Lissy also served as the Manager of Committees and Sections at the American Academy of Pediatrics.
