Omer Ozkirimli currently serves as a Senior Research Engineer in Modelling & Simulation at the Manufacturing Technology Centre, focusing on digital engineering technologies since June 2022. Previously, Omer held the position of Business Manager for the STAR Accelerator at the University of Leicester, where responsibilities included commercial, financial, and technical management from April 2020 to March 2022. Omer also worked at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) as a Technical Fellow, leading the Machining Dynamics Team and overseeing multiple research areas from February 2013 to April 2020. Earlier experience includes roles as a Research & Manufacturing Engineer at MAXIMA Manufacturing R&D, a Teaching Assistant at Sabanci University, and an intern at Autoliv. Omer holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and a B.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering, both from Sabanci University.
