Jon Simpson is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in leadership and development roles across various organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Mantle since January 2024, Jon has previously held significant positions at Shopify, including Senior Development Manager and Development Manager, where Jon drove innovation to enhance customer experience and managed cross-functional teams. As a freelancer since 2011, Jon has utilized word-of-mouth referrals to provide services such as website development and graphic design. In addition to creating a blog, JonSimpson.ca, focused on modern engineering practices, Jon's early experience includes roles at TravelClick and ZDirect, where Jon contributed to product development and system enhancements. Jon holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from Carleton University, completed in 2016.
