Brian Shine has a strong background in the recycling industry. Brian started their career at Manitoba Corporation in 1985, where they served as Vice President until 1999. In 2000, they became President of the company and held that position until February 2021 when they were promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Brian also has experience as the CEO of Integrated Recycling Services Co, LLC, where they provided investment recovery, asset disposition, and recycling services. In 2011, they joined Utility Recyclers International as Vice President of Finance. Additionally, Brian has been involved with the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc. (ISRI), serving as Chairman from 2018 to 2020 and Chair Elect from 2016 to 2018.

Brian Shine received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Bowling Green State University, which they attended from 1981 to 1985. In 1991, they completed the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) program at the University at Buffalo School of Management.
